History of the Company
DMC Business Machines was founded by two people, Jon Hill and Justin Nicholson, in 1991 when they started out by purchasing a small photocopier company called DMC Sales Ltd. They renamed it DMC Business Machines as their primary goal was to supply and service an extensive range of office equipment.
At the start the Company had the support of one engineer and a part-time admin assistant. Their ethos was to provide quality products, with a high level of customer service, achieving this through fully commitment staff and their personal desire to be part of a successful team.
Over this period DMC has developed a close-knit working partnership with Canon. Working with this market leader, DMC has been allowed to build-up a significant experience and knowledge base and regularly finds itself within the top three of the Canon UK dealer network, this being demonstrated by being a Canon Solutions Reseller Partner.
As the business grew DMC had to diversify into trade sales, so in 1993 the trade sales division was born. It has expanded into one of the UK's leading distributors of business machines. Today, DMC is Panasonic’s largest office equipment reseller for the UK and one of Canon’s largest copier resellers.
Foreseeing organic growth, the Company acquired a number of small UK office equipment dealers and customer bases to develop into a national service foundation the most recent one being the Assets of Imcopex Office Supplies in Leeds.
Over the last twenty years, year on year, growth has been maintained with the latest financial years turnover exceeding £30m. DMC’s vision is unwavering. Since its conception, it's been their desire to provide customers the highest possible level of service by every member of the DMC team.
