Panasonic launches upgraded MFP for small office market

Panasonic has launched a new high speed multi-function printer aimed at the SOHO market, combining flexible mobile connectivity and secure printing.

The DP-MB311 multi-function printer doubles the maximum duty cycle of its counterpart, the DP-MB310, at 100,000 pages per month, offers greater memory (768MB compared to 64MB), and also boasts high-speed duplex printing.

The MB311 also achieves double the print resolution, at 1,200 x 1,200 dpi.

“The Panasonic DP-MB310 established itself as a reliable, high-quality business machine,” said Carlos Osuna, Product Marketing Manager for Panasonic Communication Solutions. “Now, with the arrival an upgraded model, the DP-MB311, Panasonic is delivering more effective and efficient printing to businesses.”

“The DP-MB311 features WiFi and Gigabit connectivity, giving users fast access to network-based operations. Mobile and remote printing from handheld devices like smartphones or tablets is also possible, supporting users on the move with the option of using a mobile print application or Google Cloud Print from their mobile devices.”

Conventional A4-size multi-function printers invert the pages one at a time, resulting in slow performance and poor productivity, however, the DP-MB311 comes with high-speed duplex printing capability as standard, making it possible to print both sides at virtually the same speed as single-side printing.

The DP-MB311 also helps safeguard confidential files with the ability to scan documents as password-protected PDF files, accessible only by entering a password into the machine.

A dedicated ECO button is located on the control panel which enables two energy-saving functions. The duration before the printer enters power save mode is set to one minute whilst the 2-in-1 and duplex copy modes are automatically set, effectively reducing both paper and power consumption.
