New planitgreen recycling scheme
Published Date: 23/04/2011
With DMC's recent launch of planitgreen, we have launched our free toner recycling scheme as a pledge to Earth Day 2012.
Continuing to planitgreen is very important, with over 55 million toners each year thrown away into UK landfill sites, planitgreen can help stem the flow and close this loop by using our free toner and ink recycling service.
According to current statistics, only 5% of empty toner cartridges are currently recycled, leaving the majority ending up in landfill sites, where it can take over 1,000 years to decompose.
If everyone in the world lived like we do in the UK, we would need 8 Earths to satisfy our resource needs. Recycling helps minimise our impact on the earth.
But recycling isn’t just about turning old products into new products. Recycling is actually the last stage of a three step process:
Reduce – Reuse – Recycle
The planitgreen Recycling Scheme focuses on Reuse and Recycling for printer cartridges and we accept all printer laser and ink cartridges. We cannot currently recycle broken cartridges, toner bottles or ribbon cartridges.
Offering resellers free planitgreen branded recycling boxes for their UK based clients to collect used printer toners and cartridges; The planitgreen printer cartridge recycling scheme ensures returned cartridges never end up as landfill.
Perfect for resellers who currently supply to medium to large sized Corporate's, Education and Public Sector organisations all with CSR policies.
Contact your account manager or complete the form on our planitgreen website to request a free planitgreen collection box when purchasing a planitgreen product.
